Here it is, my entry for the One Cat, Fruit, Clock Contest!

The clock, hanging on the wall, just struck twelve. Outside the night explodes in bright light and the Somber Ghost haunts the premise. The light shafts enter the room through the broken window and the shadows of oblivion are overthrown. But when the light falls on that dusty portrait there… You could see that the room remembers and resembles the glowing forest outside, and the haunting ghost was once a kitty…

Now some serious words…

The work was actually quite fun! Drawing up of some kind of composition, creating the scene. Include the three main elements into it. It was entertaining!
The haunted house, during a magic nighttime, was an idea of mine for quite some time. I guess now I had certain mood and stimulus to finally create it. The hanging pineapples are my way to show the complete oblivion, possessing the room. Yet the clock is ticking, and when it strikes 00:00 hours, the world outside transforms into magic realm. The portrait, hanging on the wall, shows exactly that moment, but if you think for a second, would you understand what the picture on the wall shows if you enter the room in a different time, say during daytime? No, you wouldn’t.

Technical info –

For the clock, fruit and cat(s) I’ve used the provided materials for the Contest. The room is not 3D, I generated it using texture plates, put into right perspective. Then blended the whole scene with color and shadows. The textures come from PS, other stock resources, and some I had to create myself.
